From code

When joining a student residence with hundreds of residents, a new world of friendships and connections opens up. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and forge friendships with those who share similar interests and passions.
However, getting to know these people can take considerable time, and someone with compatible interests might be living just down the hall without you ever knowing it.
That's why we developed Connect, a web application that matches students with similar interests and creates groups around shared passions, helping residents meet and connect more easily.
The app was pilot-tested at one of RESA's student residences in Barcelona, yielding encouraging results. Multiple people connected through the platform, and from these initial connections, deep friendships emerged that have lasted for years.
As a developer, it's deeply fulfilling to know I helped facilitate these relationships. I feel humbled when speaking with former residence friends who remind me that some of their closest friendships began through Connect.
Student Connect remains a testament to how technology can create a meaningful impact in people's lives.
