Common questions
What is Medisense?
Medisense is a web-app that scans the barcode on a medication's packaging and uses the prospect information to provide clear and proven answers to the user's questions, using artificial intelligence.
Can I try Medisense?
The project isn't publicly available, as Medisense is still a research-preview, acting as a proof of concept.
How is Medisense built?
We use the OpenFDA API & exa-py to gather the most relevant search data on the medication, and use a Llama 3 instance hosted on Groq to answer the user's questions.
How are the responses generated?
We trained our system to base it's responses on the medication prospect, reflecting the views and recommendations that are expressed on them.
Is Medisense secure?
Absolutely. We do not store or share your medication data, and don't include personal information when sending data to our providers.
What's next for Medisense?
We're investigating many options. This proof of concept could eventually become a mobile app, or with some reactive changes, be adapted to work as a mobile website.
